The Forgotten Truth of The Soul And Mantra That Awakens It
After Bhagwat Sakshatkar Tatvadarashi Bramhapadadheesh Mahapurush his holiness Shri Anand Yogi Anandmay ji founded Shri Vishwashanti Ashram in India in 1948. He was the supreme Devotee of His Holiness Shri Jai Dayal Goyandaka ji the founder of Geeta Press. This Ashram is active in its head quarter located at Prayagraj Jhusi Trivenipuram Uttar Pradesh with its branches at Bijnor and Saharanpur.
A divine message is here from a humble devotee of this great Ashram in the world. This holy Ashram taught real method of meditation and the elixir of Geeta Gyan since inception : One can attain the God in this human birth only by adopting this life style.
You must know that we are all blessed by the grace of God to receive this human birth. However, we should not forget that before this birth, we have lived millions of lives in various forms of living beings. Even in this life, we are driven by the same nature (habits) formed over countless lifetimes. Accordingly, we act and make instant, selfish decisions based on our desires.
We must break this chain in this very human birth and attain the Supreme — because only a human being has the power to break the cycle of birth and death. And this requires regular efforts to make our nature divine.
In fact, our soul is eternal and distinct from the body. But due to our attachments and desires for the material world since infinite time, we have forgotten our true self and have come to identify with the body.
Don’t focus on worries Instead, from today, make your best efforts to follow these steps:
🌼 Steps Toward Liberation:
1. Realize the Gift of Human Birth
God has gifted us this human body to break the cycle of birth and death, hell and heaven. We must return to our Supreme Father.
2. Practice Selfless Service in Remembrance of God. According to the holy Geeta — the voice of God Himself — we must perform our duties (job, business, etc.) in constant remembrance of God. This means meditative chanting of His name.
I personally chant:
“Om Anandamay, Om Shāntimay”
as much as possible, from morning until sleep.
Chanting mentally while doing our tasks makes our actions selfless and transforms them into worship.
God does not value candles and flowers in temples or churches if we do not perform selfless service as described above.
3. Study the Holy Geeta Daily
Read 5–7 verses of the Geeta daily. Start with verses:
8.14, 9.22, 10.10, 18.57, 18.58, and 18.61
Read these regularly along with new verses.
4. Follow a Sattvic Vegetarian Diet
Eat and drink pure, vegetarian food and beverages. No life should be taken for our food.
5. Practice Celibacy (Brahmacharya) as Much as Possible
Live with the highest possible level of purity and restraint.
The Sacred Mantra That Transforms The Life
Now, I gift you the mantra that changed my life. This Mulmantra was gifted by God Himself in person to Tatvadarshi Brahmapadādheesh Mahapurush Shri Anand Yogi Anandamaya Ji for the supreme welfare of God-loving souls across the world:
✨ The Power of the Sacred Mantra
“Om Anandamay, Om Shāntimay”
"Effect of Chanting the Mantra:
Freedom from all worldly sorrows and realization of the Supreme Being is best attained through sincere chanting of the divine name:
“Om Anandamay, Om Shāntimay.”
Therefore, renouncing the false pleasures of this impermanent, fleeting, and perishable world, one should lovingly and selflessly chant the sacred name of the Almighty — all-powerful, just, supremely compassionate, and truly loving — with deep focus and devotion, always and forever.
Through regular practice of this mantra, the desires of the mind gradually diminish, helping one withdraw from sinful tendencies. Negative traits such as lust and anger reduce, and inner peace begins to grow. With eyes closed, deeper concentration on the blissful Lord is achieved. Worldly distractions lessen significantly. One becomes detached from sensory pleasures and naturally inclined toward solitude.
Whenever great obstacles arise that disturb one’s spiritual practice, chanting this mantra with heartfelt devotion helps overcome those challenges."
To destroy the obstacles on the path of spiritual practice and to eliminate worldly impulses arising in the mind, there is no greater means than lovingly chanting the name "Om Anandamay Om Shantimay" along with contemplation on the divine form.
Those who continuously chant the name of Om Anandamay Om Shantimay Bhagavan with selfless devotion and meditative focus—who can describe the glory of their bliss?
The chanting of Om Anandamay Om Shantimay Bhagavan’s name should be done with a feeling for its meaning, that is, with contemplation on His divine form. Chanting the name with form-consciousness destroys inner obstacles and leads to the attainment of the Supreme Bramha. Practicing name chanting while contemplating the form of Om Anandmay Bhagavan yields swift benefit, because through constant remembrance, the memory of Om Anandamay Bhagavan remains uninterrupted.
Hence, in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 8, Verse 7, the Lord has said:
"tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu mām anusmara yudhya ca
mayy arpita-mano-buddhir mām evaiṣyasy asaṁśayam"
Meaning: Therefore, at all times, remember Me and also perform your duty. Thus, with mind and intellect surrendered to Me, you shall undoubtedly attain Me.
Note: The sacred syllable “ॐ” in Hindi should be read and pronounced as “Om” in English.
This divine mantra was gifted by God Himself in person to Tatvadarshi Brahmapadādheesh Mahapurush Shri Anand Yogi Anandamaya Ji during Bhagwat Sakshatkar, for the supreme welfare of God-loving souls across the world.
